Unity in Rhythm
Rhythmic arts like dance and music are part of the ancient tribal heritage shared by all peoples. We can weave them into the yoga practice in traditional and modern ways to encourage joy and health, while opening our minds and bodies to the interconnected reality of the Earth Tribe. Yogis practice getting in sync with the rhythms of nature, the rhythms or the cosmos and the rhythms of their tribe. Synchronous Rhythm is the way in which vibrational bodies link up with one another and how different parts of a single person harmonize. This two hour class will explore various yogic techniques that employ rhythm to enter altered states of consciousness, specifically states of greater unity with oneself and with others. These practices can help us remember the the joy of moving as one.
